The Company is a family owned business in Germany that makes handcrafted items in this vintage European look. The Dahlhaus 1519A mailbox is made of sand cast aluminum and comes in 18 different finishes. The word "BRIEFKASTEN" means Mailbox in German and can be replaced with text of your choice up to the 12 characters allotted. There is a key lock on the right side of the front door and the hinges are on the left side. There is a newspaper holder on the bottom of the unit which differentiates it from the Dahlhaus 1519
