This mail plate by Dahlhaus is handcrafted in Germany by skilled craftsmen. There is no box on the back to hold letters. The back surface is flat and mounts directly to your exterior wall or door. The mail plate is made of sand cast aluminum and is available in 18 finishes. The word "BRIEFKASTEN" means Mailbox in German and "EINWURF" means insertion in German. Each line of text can be replaced with text of your choice up, 12 letters on the Throw-In-Slot and 13 on the plate.
